We left the lodge at the base of the mountain after breakfasting on Tibetan bread. The thermometer outside showed -10c. There was a strong wind which made our ascent more trying and it was hard to keep warm. I should have taken mitts as well as thick liner gloves as my hands were freezing. Our Guide Mr. Sanjib Adhikari (Nepal Planet Treks) help me a warm make a fire at Guest house. All the effort was worthwhile as we had fantastic views of Choi Oyu, Everest and Makalu, and a great view of a frozen lake 3. Take extra clothes - its cold up there! Visited January 2016
